Loved stepping out of the apartment and into the pool area in the morning sun. Makry Gialos was lovely, with beaches, restaurants, and shops. The apartment was cozy, would stay again.

The shower pressure was fabulous, I felt like I was in a spa. And the pool was so huge, I could swim laps.

Although there wasn't a breakfast included they offered nice snacks Good for families and trips to nearby islands

The owners were more than perfect and I felt like home right-away! The studio was very clean and comfortable and it was really nice staying there. I really liked the welcome basket! The accommodation was traditional and lovely located really close to the harbour area as well as the restaurants, that's what I was expecting. My room was modest and big size with fantastic balconies. There was a lovely pool and views of the sea and mountains.

very friendly staff and owner, they treated us like family. the whole experience was very nice, we can't recommend highly enough this apartment.

the location was perfect, just a short walk to the beach and the charming village. the outside area was well-maintained and offered a beautiful view of the bay. the staff was friendly and helpful, always available to assist us. the rooms were fantastic, clean, and equipped with everything we needed. We especially appreciated the kitchen, which was well-stocked. the swimming pool was a great way to start our mornings or relax in the evenings. an excellent experience!

View was ver nice. We booked only an hour before we arrived and we were made very welcome. Swimming pool great. Quiet location and only a short walk to beach and restaurants. We were also given homemade cake.our first breakfast,raki.nuts and soap.

A little difficult to find as the turn in from the road is acute and narrow.

I booked studio apartment and very happy with size of room, cleanliness, with 2 balconies you could have sun all day,also quiet with good outside space. Staff (couple) were very welcoming and helpful- Short walk to the sea and tavernas- Went for the 5 day Music Festival which I thought was excellent value for money and intend returning next year. The property was nicely"Greek" in appearance not bland like many apartments.Would stay there again.

Liked the idea of the small swimming pool but I suppose if there were children staying may be noisy???Was a little concerned when I arrived and noted that there were 2 dogs chained on the adjoining land. Thought I may have to contend with barking dogs this in fact did not happen-no problem.

Pleasant and kind staff and host, they treated us like family. The location was unbeatable and magnificent, about 5 minutes drive to Lagoufa beach.

The apartment had a unique shabby chic style with plenty of wardrobe space. The balcony was a nice size and the double bed was a pleasant change. We appreciated the extra touches like the bottle of raki and mosquito plug. The staff were friendly and the sea view pool was bigger than expected. The ambience was relaxed and pleasant. The apartment was close to the beach and some amazing tavernas. The owners were welcoming and accommodating, even providing fresh cakes for my birthday. The location was ideal for exploring the eastern region of Crete. The local bay and beach were safe for swimming. The breakfasts were delicious and delivered on time. The small swimming pool was great for cooling off and was always clean. It was truly a mind-blowing experience and we fell in love with this place!

We had a fantastic stay at Afroditi Apartments in Crete. the location was perfect - just a short walk to the beach, bars, and tavernas. the room was comfortable with a great view over the resort. We especially loved the ice-cold pool, which was a lifesaver in the heat. the owners were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, even waiting for us when we arrived late at night. We also enjoyed the complimentary Raki and nibbles in our room. the breakfasts were delicious and always delivered on time. Afroditi Apartments is a little gem of a place, ideal for a family holiday. 😊.

bathroom layout was strange

The location was perfect for a romantic escape, just a short stroll to the beach, bars, and tavernas. the room itself was cozy and had a comfortable bed, which made our stay even more enjoyable. And the icing on the cake was definitely the fantastic view we had over the resort. It was breathtaking and added a touch of romance to our holiday.

There were a few negatives that affected our overall experience. the shower in the bathroom was quite small and inconvenient, making it a little challenging to use.

I recently stayed at Afroditi Apartments in Crete for a week-long vacation. The owners were incredibly kind and accommodating, even taking into consideration my special medical needs. The apartment had all the basics covered and the daily maid service kept everything clean and tidy. The highlight of our stay was the spacious terrace with its stunning sea view. It made our stay truly special. The location was perfect, with multiple beautiful beaches and restaurants within walking distance. Additionally, the wifi was reliable, and the homemade cake and welcome treats were a delightful touch.

I highly recommend this hotel.
